31 Days of Victory:{Day19} Encouragement

Today I simply want to encourage you with truth. I have been receiving texts and phone messages from friends who are facing some difficult times and I know they are not the only ones. Many of you are in a season of trial or know someone who is. No matter what you’re facing today, whatever it is that’s heavy on your heart, I’d like you to know that I am praying for you. Here’s some truth to bring to the forefront of your mind as you walk out this thing called life…

First things first, my friend, if you are a believer in Christ, sealed with the Holy Spirit, you are not fighting for a place of victory. You are fighting from a place of victory. Regardless of what the circumstances may portray, your position in Christ is secure. With God, victory is certain, even if it has not yet revealed itself to the human eye. Additionally, it has been brought to my attention that many believers are growing tired in this race. Fatigue is bringing about feelings of weakness throughout the body of Christ. Please keep in mind that just because you’re fighting, doesn’t mean you’re losing. I pray you dwell in the peace that Christ promised.

The enemy has been scheming against and attacking God’s children. This is very real, and not just some religious mumbo-jumbo. We have been far too focused on the physical circumstances surrounding us and far too unaware of the spiritual war at hand. But do not lose heart. Stand firm, brothers and sisters in Christ. God is on our side. If He is for us, who can be against us? No one! God is the one who justifies. Who is he that condemns?

Let us continue to gain a proper perspective of our God, focusing on Christ and not the crisis. When we learn how mighty our God is, we will realize that He is too big to fit in our box. Then our eyes will be opened to see that the enemy is so small, he fits under our feet. The devil is prideful and puffs up his works to convince us that the forces of evil are just as mighty as the power of good. This is not so. The ability of satan is no match for the power of our God, The Almighty One!

Please take this truth and tuck it away in your heart for continued reference. In trouble, hardship, persecution, famine, nakedness, danger or sword, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Children of God, victory is your inheritance. Claim it! I’m not talking about prosperity preaching of “name it and claim it” as it pertains to all the worldly possessions one can ask for. I’m talking about praising God who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. When you were adopted as a child of God you became a joint heir with Christ. You now have a royal position.

You need not walk in defeat any longer.

For those of you saints, who have been interceding, I believe God has heard your cry. Do not lose heart when His answer does not come in the desired timing. The Lord is at work and we know that, in all things, God works for the good of those who love Him.  Continue to love Him, my friends, and renounce secret and shameful ways.

Some of you have been praying for salvation and deliverance on behalf of your loved ones and it has not been an easy road. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. Don’t be discouraged over a situation that seems impossible. What is impossible with man is possible with God! Remember that the God who said “Let light shine out of darkness,” made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ. If He can save us, He can save them! Keep interceding.

Lastly, Fix your eyes, not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. Consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. Remember that the Spirit helps us in our weakness. And Jesus himself is interceding on our behalf, bringing your name before the father. He is our advocate.

Keep the faith. Put on the armor. Be encouraged. You’re not alone.

With God, Victory is secure.
