Today marks our halfway point of 31 Days! For those of you just joining us, let me catch you up to speed. A group of friends and I have linked arms for 31 Days of blogging. Each of us chose a specific topic that we are passionate about. Today we're taking a moment to share some thoughts with you about how these blogs have blessed us.
If you have some spare time, please click on any of the links below that stand out to you. These ladies have beautiful words of hope and encouragement for all of us. Here’s a quick review on what has meant the most to me {in no particular order}.
Carla at Sojourner of Truth…
My sweet friend, and Pastor’s wife, Carla Hendricks has been seriously operating in her gift of writing throughout the month of July. Her topic is purpose and she will simply draw you in through her engaging words. If you’ve ever wondered what your calling is, you need to visit her blog. Over the past 15 days, she has offered practical tools for discovering our God-given gifts, talents and passions.
One of my favorite posts from her is called “Finding the Child Within.” She really helped me to go back in time and discover what God had already placed in my heart at a young age. It reminded me that God is intentional in the way He created all of us. We each have a unique purpose. Carla’s blog brings to light the hope that we don’t have to blindly guess what God has purposed for us to do. We can know it and we can walk in it. Sheryl at A Scarlet Cord of Hope…
Sheryl, author of the book A Scarlet Cord of Hope, is one of the strongest women I know. She is an over comer. Talk about victory! She has a powerful testimony of restoration and speaks from a place of experience on her blog. Her topic is hope and she often seals her posts with the life-giving reminder that “there’s always hope.”
A very special post to me was day 7. In it she poses the question, “What is in the roots of your family tree?” She provided a beautiful visual along with the hope that everyone can pass on a new legacy to his or her children. Her words are raw and vulnerable as she reminds us that new life is possible. Visit her blog today to experience a fresh burst of hope by clicking here.
Jennifer at Parent Passion…
Jennifer Lain is one of the sweetest ladies I know. If you’ve never met her, I wish you knew her personally. I can always hear her kind voice of encouragement as I read each post. With years of youth ministry and teaching under her belt, God has brought her through so much and given her an extra portion of wisdom. Her topic is freedom, which truly speaks to my heart.
One of my favorite posts by Jennifer is about the voice of truth. She reminds each reader that one of the most powerful parts of healing in life is truth. Though facing it can be frightening, when you finally do, all at once you are free. This post spoke to my heart on so many levels. Visit her blog to learn more about freedom by clicking here.
Chelle at Chasing the Divine…
I love Michelle and how she shares so honestly through writing. She has a way with words that convicts without offending. This author and fitness trainer also speaks from a wealth of experience and a testimony of change. Her topic is Wellness: Mind, Body and Spirit. Not only does she encourage her readers with facts about living a healthy lifestyle, she backs it up with scripture to create a powerful, well-rounded recipe for health.
A favorite post of mine from her blog is on perseverance. She drove right down my street and put that message in my mailbox. She shared the importance of not giving up. This doesn't just apply to a healthy lifestyle. It applies to every area in which we are tempted to give up to soon. With all the bloggers, it was so difficult to narrow my favorite posts down to just one. Each one of these lades are gifted to communicate. There are so many impactful words of inspiration. Be sure to browse their sites to read on.
Thanks again to every reader who has joined me for 31 Days of Victory. This has been a wonderful journey for me and I pray it has blessed you as well. Stop in tomorrow as we embark on the second half of our journey to victory.
