“Now this I know: The LORD gives victory to his anointed. He answers him from His heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of His right hand.”
Psalm 20:6
There was a time when I believed the lie that life only gets worse; it only gets harder. I’m so thankful that I was wrong. I know there are days and seasons that seem to never end. It’s usually the difficult ones that try to flaunt their longevity, whereas the good times seem to fly past us. On this 31st day of our journey, I’d like to encourage you with something God revealed to me…
The best is yet to come!
Victory is ahead. When I was about to give up on the hope of victory, here’s what the Lord showed me:
“I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.” Psalm 27: 13
I used to think “the land of the living” meant heaven. I thought that I could only see His goodness on the other side of glory. But I realized that this is the land of the living. It is possible to see His goodness here. And I have. And you will too, my friend. You will!
What’s more is that, as we continue to wage war against the dark forces of evil in this world, we don’t have to guess the outcome. We don’t have to blindly hope for the possibility of victory. The victory has already been determined. The end of the story has been established. Good wins and evil fails. God wins. The devil is defeated!
The next time the enemy tries to infiltrate your mind with flaming arrows. Remember this:
“For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.” – Deuteronomy 20:4
You have been given the victory. Walk in it!
Remember that we do not fight against flesh and blood. Though it’s easy to think that our war is against people and physical circumstances, we must keep in mind that this fight is absolutely spiritual! [Ephesians 6:10-13] I cannot emphasize that enough. It’s foolishness for us to waste our ammunition on someone or something other than the true enemy of our soul. Let’s keep things in the proper perspective.
As we close this chapter of 31 Days, I’ll leave you with the written Word, which reveals our ultimate victory in Jesus. I am rejoicing over this!! Hallelujah!
The Heavenly Warrior Defeats the Beast
"I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice He judges and wages war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on His head are many crowns. He has a name written on Him that no one knows but He Himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and His name is the Word of God. [Here's where we come in...] The armies of heaven were following Him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Coming out of His mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. 'He will rule them with an iron scepter.' He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On His robe and on His thigh He has this name written:
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
...Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage war against the rider on the horse and His army. But the beast was captured, [Glory be to God!!!] and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. [Hallelujah!!!] The rest were killed with the sword coming out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh." - Revelation 19:11-21
Don't let the devil deceive you into thinking he has the upper hand. We are on the winning team. Victory has been established. The best is yet to come!
Victoriously,
